Synup launched Sydekick on September 1, an autonomous agent that executes local-marketing work across the roughly 2,000,000 business locations already running on its platform. The company says it has rebuilt the product around the agent, moving customers off dashboard-led workflows and onto something closer to delegated execution.
The pitch rests on a single adoption number: 94 percent of actions Sydekick proposes are approved without edits in live workspaces. That’s the metric Synup wants investors and partners to fixate on, because it reframes the agent from experimental copilot to something operators are effectively rubber-stamping.
Underneath sits the moat. Synup cites 100-plus publisher integrations, 13 years of business logic, nearly 5,000 partners, and three of the ten largest U.S. listings providers running on its API. Sydekick connects to more than 5,000 integrations and operates inside Synup, Slack, and Microsoft Teams, with an approvals queue and audit log. The company says it runs the system on models and inference it owns.
“We are excited to progress to the next transition for our business and our industry, building a truly agentic offering across the value chain — from application tooling to memory to inference,” said Ashwin Ramesh, chief executive of Synup.
The timing isn’t accidental. AI search now delivers fewer but higher-intent visitors, and Google’s AI-visibility reports have gone live for every business site. Structured listing data is what feeds those surfaces, and keeping it accurate at scale used to require specialist headcount.
On the same day, Pepper announced Agent Atlas, which MarTech Series described as the “chat-first layer of Pepper’s GEO platform” that “reasons across a brand’s AI-search, rankings and analytics data, then carries out the work it recommends.” Two launches, one date, one thesis: the dashboard era of local marketing is being quietly retired.
