Anthropic on September 15 nearly tripled the surface area of Claude for Small Business, taking its plugin from the 15 workflows it launched with on May 13 to 43, and adding 27 new integrations to reach 37 partner connectors. The shape of the expansion tells its own story: the previously bookkeeping-flavored product now sells.

The new workflows target the jobs owners actually name when asked. On the spring Claude SMB Tour through ten cities, more than 1,000 owners gave Anthropic feedback; about a third asked for help growing the business. Half named data security as their biggest hesitation, which is why every output still routes through owner approval before it sends, posts, or executes.

The lead-response workflow pulls from 15 connectors, including HubSpot. The proposal builder spans 17 and drafts branded documents priced against past jobs. The campaign planner reaches across 16 connectors, staging work through Shopify, TikTok Ads, and Salesforce. A Monday brief touches all 37; the month-end close uses 14.

Anthropic is leaning on customer proof. Bambi Baby, running a two-store pilot, credited scan-to-wishlist capture with $60,000 in sales in its first four days and 18% of online revenue newly attributed to in-person visits. Juanny Romero’s six-café Mothership Coffee Roasters reports 22% in-store margins. Dallas firm HireEffect surfaced a $13,000 discrepancy across 16 transactions and two and a half years of PayPal activity, and cut a two-hour monthly reporting task to ten seconds.

Distribution follows. More than 150 Approved Claude SMB Trainers have run over 750 community workshops, and a 14-partner webinar series runs September 25 through November 17, opening with Notion and closing with Atlassian. The 900,000-install plugin has quietly become an agentic GTM stack for the long tail.
