Taboola (Nasdaq: TBLA) yesterday launched Realize ID, a unified identity layer built on top of its Realize performance platform, and paired the announcement with a claim advertisers care about right now: up to a 2.4x uplift in conversion efficiency. The product stitches open-web behavior across publishers including NBC News and Yahoo, plus device signals from OEM partners Samsung and Xiaomi, into a single persistent buyer profile.

The framing was blunter than the product. Taboola’s release argues that 70 percent of consumers now involve generative AI search in shopping decisions, and that U.S. adults spend nearly 13 hours a day with media across dozens of devices and platforms. The path to purchase, in other words, no longer flows cleanly through the walled gardens where most performance advertisers still measure themselves. It’s the same fragmentation the IAB flagged when it raised its U.S. ad forecast to 12.3 percent earlier this month, and that dominated last week’s BrightonSEO citation study.

Adam Singolda, chief executive of Taboola, positioned the launch as reach at scale, citing more than 600 million daily active users on the platform. Named advertisers include El Corte Inglés, Ergo, Allianz, Motilal Oswal Asset Management, and Forward, the media arm of lastminute.com.

Two customer voices did the persuasive work. Sameer Jain, head of e-commerce and D2C business at Axis Max Life Insurance, and Giacomo Giuriani, business director at Forward, both appeared in the release endorsing the identity layer’s ability to reach intent that legacy attribution misses.

The timing matters. Taboola disclosed an offer to acquire Dianomi on September 18, four days before this launch. Identity infrastructure and premium financial-content inventory are being assembled into the same shelf, aimed at advertisers whose funnels have quietly stopped being funnels.
