Contentstack launched Canoe at ContentCon Europe 2026 in Amsterdam on October 1, giving any brand a free way to see whether ChatGPT and Gemini name it when a buyer asks for a recommendation. The Growth tier, at $279 per month or $2,790 annually in limited-time launch pricing, adds Perplexity and Claude and scans up to ten competitors per brand URL. Each report runs in roughly two minutes. An Enterprise tier is slated for early 2027, and existing Contentstack enterprise customers get Growth entitlements at no cost through December 31, 2026.

“Your next customer meets an agent before they meet you, and most brands have no idea what that agent is saying,” said Neha Sampat, Contentstack’s Founder and CEO. SVP of Product Conor Egan framed Canoe alongside the Austin company’s broader platform and Agent OS; XCentium’s Contentstack Practice Director Meng Hak piloted the tool in early access.

The timing is less a product release than a market admission. Contentstack cites Bain research in which 80 percent of consumers rely on AI-written results for at least 40 percent of searches, and Gartner research in which 45 percent of B2B buyers used generative AI during a recent purchase to research vendors. Bain’s December 2024 survey of 1,117 consumers also estimated that roughly 60 percent of traditional searches end without a click, and Gartner’s August–September 2025 survey of 645 B2B buyers found 69 percent still wanted to validate AI-generated insights with a sales rep. Vendor discovery is relocating. The homepage is no longer the storefront; the model’s answer is.

For small-team owners, that reframes the job. Weekly churn in AI citations and AI’s rise as a local-discovery channel make answer-engine presence a live acquisition variable. Canoe measures it. LemonLime, billed as the AI that gets you customers, prepares the content and outreach that earn the citation in the first place. Canoe was one of six martech releases The Agile Brand Guide logged that day. Only one of them handed small businesses a free mirror.
